I know that no one wants to read another blog about how hideously exciting – or, conversely, how excruciatingly dull or depressing – your day was. I know that no one can possibly enjoy reading about how wonderful the food is at restaurants they will never afford. I also know that no one should follow another impartial political analyst who is never really impartial and either thinks too little or says too much. So, after much consideration, I have decided to design my blog as a social commentary about the world through the eyes of an Angeleno – about all things safe, interesting, educational, and affordable (although I may sprinkle little tidbits and mundane details about my life here and there).
Credentials? I have none, other than these two simple facts. First, I am a homegrown Southern Californian, born and raised in North Orange County, having lived in Los Angeles for the six years before I moved. Second, I have the words "Los Angeles" printed on my college diploma. Beyond that, I am neither a scholar in sociology nor an expert in the history and culture of Los Angeles, I thrive off of generalizations, and most of the statistics I use are somewhat fictitious. But hey – if you wanted to read something real, you should have gone to a library.
Cheers, to a many hopefully wonderful posts about anything and everything.
Sincerely Yours.
